People in Pakistan are getting aware of the fact that their Mobile number ownership is important, and it must be in their name in order to avoid un-desired problems for any reason. So if you are still using a SIM without registration, make sure that you register it immediately, given that the process is very simple.
Check Current Owner’s name of SIM?
To find out the current owner’s name of the SIM that you are using, simply send a blank SMS to 667. This SMS will return owner’s information with details – So if this is your name, then nothing to worry about, and consider yourself safe. Otherwise get it registered as soon as possible.
How to register a SIM
In order to get Mobile number registered, take your SIM card and original ID card to your nearest franchise or service center, and ask them to register this SIM in your name.
Please remember that you must bring SIM with you as well, because without SIM your number won’t get registered. Continue Reading This Story

Subject: Sim card & Franchise Concern Persons …..
To: customerservice@waridtel.com
Respected Sir
I hope u r fine. I had purchased a SIM card of number 0322 605 2330. I have been repetitively providing all required data to your concerned staff to get my number registered. For the purpose, I gave copy of my ID card and other details from retailer (situated in BC Tower opposite to GC University Faisalabad) and once to your Franchise near Ideal Sweet Gulberg Road Faisalabad, and I believe it was registered to my name. Through an advertisement published today in “Daily Jang” PTCL has announced free one month broadband internet if applied in December 2008. Same print ad says that PTCL’s free IPTV services are now extended till June 2009 for all new and existing IPTV customers.
To subscribe call: 0800-80800
However, we are not sure about how other broadband internet service providers will respond to this offer. We may see another layer of price war in broadband industry of Pakistan. Also to be noted, few of ISPs increased their broadband tariffs recently - meaning that ISPs may breath high over this move by PTCL.
It is also interesting to learn that all Internet and Telecom packages are sent to PTA first for approval before they get implemented.
As an ending note, PTCL should also enhance its support and after sale services as well for optimum customers’ experiance.

I cannot forget that day in my life, when my brother bought me 486 computer for Rs. 45,000/- and soon I started to explore windows 3.1 & Windows 95 on this expensive machine. Today after almost 10 years, things have changed a lot, and so are the prices for computers. But unfortunately, we, as a nation are still immature in terms of using computers and in terms of getting benefited of its advantages.
Today, despite 15 percent general sales tax on computers, one can buy a reasonable computer for just 5 to 7 thousand Rupees. Pakistan observed highest growth rate, globally, for computer usage and penetration in recent years, but unfortunately, today in our society masses don’t use computer technology as they should have used it. Like most of the computers bought in rural or in urban areas to some extent are mainly used for playing Movie and games, to chat or to surf Porn websites.
We must understand this that computers can be used very effectively, which can earn lots of money for students and old alike. What we need to do is to explore new tools and techniques to help ourselves and to bring forward productive products in market. Like I know most of the developers are “Own Feed Developers” They learnt majority of their development techniques through online tutorials, How to Do’s and CBT’s available on the internet. I myself studied most of the languages and tools from tutorials/ CBT’s available on the web. Continue Reading This Story

In the world of advertising image building is one aspect of any campaign, which shows a shining picture of any product or organization. Creative writers craft all qualities and feature of that product in dynamic and sizzling words to catch attraction; when such advertising campaigns come to the public, they give the same impression and leave a lasting impact on consumers. For example, if you go to a shop and ask for a mobile connection, what name comes in your mind, while options are Telenor, Mobilink, Warid, Ufone, Zong or Insaphone. Furthermore, there is a term used in advertising, “Out of Sight, Out of Mind”. This is a hard-core reality, which enforces companies to run long and continuous schedule of advertising to keep the ball rolling.
In current situation, if we apply same formula, we would know that Instaphone is no more in the market. With only few hundred thousand customers, Instaphone has no demand in the market with zero advertising. Zong, which had created hype before its launch, was able to capture 5 million customers very soon, but gradually its slowing down its media campaigns.
Lately, Zong’s major elements of campaign were lunchtime offer; however, they are these days putting their focus on 12 Anay Package. Zong continuously rotates its focus on different services, but intensity is decreasing with time, and may not leave a lasting impression. Time has come, where Zong should focus on its network and should bring forward some advertisements relating to network coverage as well. Also they should bring forward at least one new package to keep it live on TVCs. Continue Reading This Story
