Get Ufone Golden Numbers with 0333 Code

Posted by: Aamir Attaa on September 14, 2008 at 7:43 AM

ugone_golden_numbers Get Ufone Golden Numbers with 0333 Code

Many of us are crazy to have Golden or Platinum mobile number; these easy to remember phone numbers are also marked as status symbol amongst the masses. Or you may want to have same number for your spouse but with different code…! But tell you something, after reading this post, it is not going to be a tough job for you to get Ufone Golden Number and that too with 0333 code.

Okay, the process is very simple… check out Ufone franchises in your area, because those guys are the right contacts to get such Golden Numbers. Not all franchises may help you in getting Ufone Golden Numbers, but specific ones may come up with good solution. For example, in Rawalpindi, Ufone’s franchise located at Kalma Chowk, Bakra Mandi offer you Ufone’s Golden Numbers.

Now, if you are thinking that you gonna get these numbers in Rs. 150, then you are absolutely wrong…! Obviously you need to pay more for such Cathy numbers. Infact Ufone has categorized these numbers in 3 ways, 1- Silver 2 – Golden 3 – Platinum

Prices are as following

  • Ufone Silver Number = Rs. 1000
  • Ufone Golden Number = Rs. 2500
  • Ufone Platinum Number = Rs. 7500

How numbers are categorized,

There is no hard and fast rule, but apparently, if you get a number with triple digit in it then is going to be a Silver Number,

Such as 0333-5433355 is possibly a silver number

0333-5499994 has a tetra digit; hence it is a Golden number and will cost you Rs. 2500.

0333-5988888 is a platinum number, as it has penta digit, and such a number is going to cost you Rs. 7500

Note: as I mentioned, there is no hard and fast rule for the prices, so you can expect 033354334455 as a Golden Number too… Also note that I have randomly mentioned these numbers, so please take these numbers just as examples. Also you may expect numbers with 0333 code more expensive than of a number with 0332 or 0331 code.

It is suggested to find a reference at these franchises, as a good friend can greatly help you find a very good number. Actually what they do to get you such a Golden Number is that they search numbers in Online Records available to them. For example, they will put 0333-5423333 into system and will see if this number is registered to anyone or not. If not, then they will offer you this number for hefty price.

Also note that these numbers are offered in only postpaid packages. Means if you will have to pay Rs. 1000 (atleast) for security deposit.

For an example, total Price for a Golden Number would become

Golden Number Price: Rs. 2000
Security Deposit: Rs. 1000 (This security deposit depends on package, but this is lowest limit)
Activation Tax: Rs. 200

Total Price: Rs. 3,700

So, enjoy, and let me know if you get any success with this story : - )

PTA Urges for SPAM Free Cellular Environment in Pakistan

cell_spam_sms PTA Urges for SPAM Free Cellular Environment in Pakistan

In current telecom scenario of Pakistan, innocent subscribers are feeling tremendous pressure and harassment with growing fraudulent activities using cellular communication. It is of common practice that an SMS message that contains information about lucky draw award is received by innocent subscribers who unconsciously reply to such message and losses his balance in return. Besides that some obnoxious calls from a deceiver invites subscriber to come to particular location for award of prize money which ends up in loss of hard earned money of those innocent subscribers.

In the past Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has taken several measures to cap Spam, Unsolicited and Obnoxious Calls and text messages. Until now authority had tried to aware telecom subscribers to report such activities to PTA’s complain resolution number or helpline of respective cellular companies, in order to take action against such callers/spammers.

Lately, PTA has been trying to block unwanted calls on cellular phones in a more organized manner. For the purpose authority gave a tender advertisement in papers, asking solution providers for installation of SPAM filtering devices.

PTA website has revealed about a meeting that was attended by PTA officials and representatives of cellular service providers, in order to identify the critical issues relating to spam, unsolicited and obnoxious calls. In the meeting unsolved spamming problems were discussed that are increasing due to mobile generated fraudulent activities.

Currently Mobilink is offering a service that allows its subscribers to filter SMS (Text Messages), while Ufone is also offering Ufone call block service.

PTA thinks that this is not enough, and there should be an industry standard in order to block such unwanted calls and text messages. For the purpose, PTA also held a meeting with Tekelec (that provided SMS filtering services to Mobilink) to discuss possible solutions for the problem.

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, after a deep look into the matter may direct all cellular companies to install such equipment that will filter all unwanted calls for cellular users.

Google Chrome is Going to be my Next Web Browser

Posted by: Aamir Attaa on September 3, 2008 at 8:51 AM

Its matter of just two or three days, when i read about this Google Chrome ( a web browser like firefox or internet explorer) at TechCrunch. Being a windows user, earlier on i didn’t gave this idea any thought, actually there were few reports that Google Chrome is going to be for Linux only at first.

chorome_1-300x208 Google Chrome is Going to be my Next Web Browser

But today, when Google actually announced their this new Web Browser, i was redirected to the download page where it said to download Chrome for Windows.

Believe me i am having fun with this light weight but too efficent browser. I am a power user, and tend to open dozens of websites at a time, which is very managfully supported by this Google Chrome.

At this point of stage, after using tens of Google Products, let me say… Google Is Master!

There are plenty of new features packed in this browser, which i suspect will never “Stop responding”. Another thing you will feel like is that Google has combined the attributes of Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Opera, and added their own secruity and value into one browser and named it as Chrome.

Peer Online

Posted by: Aamir Attaa on September 3, 2008 at 6:31 AM

Geo TV has been airing a famous Islamic TV Show named as “Aalim Online”, which in fact inspired me to name this post as “Peer Online”. (I just took the name, other wise there resembles nothing between this particular show and my this post)

Businesses in Pakistan are in state of transformation, which are turning their concentration towards the internet now, where they obviously get more target audience, hence more leads converting into sales. Though we lack extensive e-commerce infrastructure in our country, but even though medium and large sized businesses are demonstrating their existence on web.

Similarly, our Peers have started adopting internet too, and now they are broadcasting their publicity messages on internet; mainly through BULK emailing; but soon we may expect plenty of websites dedicated to these Peers and their quick solutions to every problems.

Apparently, these Peers spend handsome amount of money for broadcasting their email messages (let me mention here that many email broadcasters charge Rs. 5000 for 10000 emails). These heavy advertisement budgets actually leave a question mark on their legitimacy and the claims they make in emails such as

  • Solution to Every Problem
  • Meet your love in only 7 days
  • Make your husband obey you for rest of life and so on…

These emails normally leave a Mobile Number at the end as a point of contact…! While one must provide a physical address while doing a remote business. So things are quite confusing here…!

This is a very sensitive issue, so I don’t want to discuss it more, but I advice my readers to act sensibly when you get such an email with high claims and low rates.

Free Unlimited Mobilink to Mobilink Calls

Posted by: Aamir Attaa on August 22, 2008 at 10:48 PM

You would be amazed to hear that a contributor claims that he has been using Free and Unlimited Mobilink to Mobilink Calls for last two months… wow! That’s really amazing, and i would love to test this trick.

How it Works:

Step 1: First of all activate Mobitunes Service, yes mobi tunes is the main thing required in this trick. Once you MobiTune Service is activated, don’t change your default Mobi Tune, which would be “Hum Bolain Mohabbat ki Zuban”….!

Step 2: Now call from your friend’s number to your own number… and you will hear “Hum Bolain Mohabat ki Zuban”

After a while, in 20/22 seconds, the automated voice will speak up and say “Apkey Matloba Number number sey jawab musul nehi ho rha”

At very this instace, when operator say “App kay matlooba number….” pick your phone … and your call will be connected, and you can talk freely without eyeing your call timer.

You can also note the time, about how long Mobi Tune is played before the operator says “App kay matlooba number…” for example its 30 seconds… just note this time. Now whenever someone will call you, you are supposed to pick the phone after 30 seconds, and allow your friends to call you for free…!

I will test it myself too, but let me know if its working… Remember its a hack, so enjoy unlimited calling, until its debugged…!

Pakistani Scientists Find a way to Boost Download Speeds

Posted by: Aamir Attaa on August 19, 2008 at 7:07 PM

As we see internet usage tremendously growing in developing countries, which have normally confined bandwidth to share with its users. Pakistan is one of such countries, which is putting a lot of (traffic) pressure on its international gateways, which at times exceeds the available limits in terms of capacity, consequently slowing the browsing amongst the masses.

Technology Review has published this article which reveals that computer scientists in Pakistan are building a system to boost download speeds in the developing world by letting people effectively share their bandwidth. The basic idea behind the research is develop a system that chops up popular pages and media files, allowing users to grab them from each other, building a grassroots Internet cache.

Here is the selected excerpt from article

In developed countries, Internet service providers (ISPs) create Web caches–machines that copy and store content locally - to boost their customers’ browsing speeds. When a user wants to view a popular website, the information can be pulled from the cache instead of from the computer hosting the website, which may be on the other side of the planet and busy with requests. Similar services are offered by content distribution companies such as Akamai, based in Cambridge, MA. High-traffic sites pay Akamai to host copies of their content in multiple locations, and users are automatically served up a copy of the site from the cache closest to them.

umar-lums Pakistani Scientists Find a way to Boost Download SpeedsUmar Saif’s team at LUMS is developing DonateBandwidth, a system inspired by the BitTorrent peer-to-peer protocol that is popular for trading large music, film, and program files. With BitTorrent, people’s computers swap small pieces of a file during download, reducing the strain placed on the original source.

DonateBandwidth works in much the same way but lets people share more than just large files. When users try to access a website or download a file, a DonateBandwidth program running on their machine checks first with the peer-to-peer cache to see if the data is stored there. If so, it starts downloading chunks of the file from peers running the same software, while also getting parts of the file through the usual Internet connection. The software could allow people in countries that have better Internet connections to donate their bandwidth to users in the developing world.

ProPakistani Forums Launched

Posted by: Aamir Attaa on August 11, 2008 at 10:14 AM

I am feeling immense pleasure to announce the launch of ProPakistani Forums.

You may ask me why forums were required while I was quite successful with the blog? Well there was a good reason, and that was many of readers, they try to add and share their opinion/comments/tricks/knowledge with other readers. Obviously blog is not a suitable application to achieve this. Hence, I came up with this forum, where you can share whatever you want to.

ProPakistani Forums

By the way, it was my first experience for deploying forums. And it was quite hectic to learn the insides of PHP code. After a good struggle, I was managed to do all the necessary things to start the forum.

Let me know if any of you need any help in setting up a forum. By the way I am using PunnBB an open source platform for forums. And I feel quite contented with its performance and features.

Let me know in case of any bug of feature that you find missing

So, start joining the forums, and lets share our self!
