Normally it happens that the number of characters allowed per SMS is 160 and if it exceeds this limit then you are charged for multiple SMS. Just wonder if you have software installed on your phone that enables you to send more than 160 characters at price of single message? Won’t it be a fun? Hey, I know you may not bother to have such an application because you hardly exceed your limit of 10,000 Bundle SMS package, but what if others (such as postpaid customers) don’t have this package?
Okay, let me tell you about this application, it is named as SMSZipper, and it can play wonders for you. This software compresses SMS, and you can send and receive up to 480 characters per message.
This software comes with a minimum requirement that the phone should be java compatible and it should have support for MIDP2.0 and CLDC 1.0. A list of compatible handsets are given below, also you can check your handset’s compatibility here
SMSZipper can also protect SMS in your inbox with a password, also the option of restoring the deleted messages. The most striking feature is the message self destruction feature which deletes the message after the time interval you set.

We all know well that Zong had been offering an Unlimited SMS package, with deduction of Rs. 3 Per day; but (thanks to some SMS advertising companies) Zong has revised this package and now they have set a limit on this unlimited SMS Package.
Though they still call it Unlimited SMS, but the truth is that you can send a maximum of 500 SMS per day…! However pricing remains the same.
This 500 SMS per day limit is too little for power users, and who are accustomed to massive text messaging (thanks to these bundle SMS packages). So if you are subscribed to this package, be sure that you do not cross 500 SMS limit….!
Note: Zong has also introduced a new package that allows 20,000 SMS for Rs. 149 (validity Period 15 days). You must try this new package to enjoy more daily limit.
If you Still think that 500 SMS are enough for you in Rs. 3 (excluding Taxes) per day, then you can subscribe to this package by sending an SMS “sub” to 700 and to unsubscribe SMS “unsubscribe” to 700.
Let’s peek over what other cellular companies are offers terms of SMS Packages…

How To Subscribe:
Advert says that this offer is available for all Zong Prepaid customers, you can subscribe to this offer by
Write SMS -> SUB and sent it to 701
Make sure that you have at least Rs. 180 in your balance!

We have seen before Ufone offering Call Block Service, through which the customers could block unwanted calls. Now Mobilink has stepped forward with a facility to block SPAM text messages on your prepaid and postpaid Mobilink Numbers.
Mobilink’s website has no information regarding this service, despite a Print Advertisment in today’s papers. Adverts reads a healthy note describing the goods and bads of SMS text messages, and then says at the end… “If you want to avail SMS Spam Filter, then call 111″
Good for those customers who are on the list of advertisers and those who get frequent text messages from unwanted numbers. No words yet regarding the pricing or the total number of allowed blocked numbers.
But just a question, what happened to Do Not Call Registry, i remember it was proposed by PTA somewhere in previous 2/3 months…!

Conspiracy
Couple of days ago, Warid published this below given AD in Express News Paper, that could be translated as a totally different package that what we discussed above.
AD said that all calls are 15 Paisa per call and 500 SMS and MMS daily…!
That means:
Per call = 15 paisa, all network (because it was not mentioned regarding on-net or off-net calls). And it could be the case, but someone from the management asked them to be sensible, and dont put undue pressure on the network, so let’s limit the calls to only 50 minutes. Following is the ad that read so…!
