mobile se pc per zonginternet bohat harab hai yar is se connect to ho ta hai likin web pages nai kulta

    Usman Afzal Reply:

@ali, This may be the problem of cell tower in your area. First of all, check that you can browse, download contents through your GPRS or EDGE enabled mobile’s WAP browser (or Opera Mini web browser). It also depends on modem speed of your mobile. My Samsung E200 has modem speed of EDGE class 10. When mobile is connected to PC through USB connection (using Zong unlimited GPRS package), I can browse websites like Google, Yahoo, GEO tv, Youtube, Gmail. I can check (also sending emails/ chatting etc) my emails easily through Gmail.com site. But for Youtube streaming, video need to load completely first (otherwise you will get pauses), then play it. The file download speed is in range of 5–8 kilobytes/ sec using “File Save As” option of browser but if you use download manager like “FlashGet” then speed will increase from above mentioned. And last thing, wireless connections are very much dependent on area location. My area is Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.

Unfortunately it’s use full for rich people, but nothing for middle class people, zong unlimited gprs plan is good but for 400 Rs we have to pay approx 110 Rs govt tax.Govt should consume their taxes.(

    Usman Afzal Reply:

@Imran laghari, I am using Zong unlimited GPRS package on my mobile and monthly 484 rupees (tax included) are charging. So tax is 84 rupees (not 110 rupees). Please correct it.

From the start of December 2008, I have noticed great increase in download/ upload speed of ZoNG EDGE on PC. Now, I am getting these average speeds on PC through my mobile’s modem:

    Download speed: 17–25 kilobytes/sec (or 136 to 200 kilobits/sec)
    Upload Speed: 6–8 kilobytes/sec (or 48 to 64 kilobits/sec)

    See these screenshots:

@Usman Afzal, thanks for sharing screen shots with us.

Yes Zong has changed its Internet Service Provider, and as per limited information now Zong’s internet is coming from Cybernet - hence improved speeds and surfing experience is reported throughout country by Zong users.
